Jun. 12th, 2007 03:19 pmRemember when I said I sent in an application to drive for Pierce Transit? Well, last week I went in for some video testing for them. I don't know if every transit system uses the same sort of thing, but if you're ever in need of a good laugh, go take one of these tests. They show you a skit of a situation (like a guy and a hooker pawing each other in the back of the bus) and give you multiple guess answers, and they're looking to see how much common sense you have. I swear, some of the questions/scenarios they came up with had to have been written by a comedian, a retard, or a retarded comedian. There's no way they could've accidentally been that goddamn obviously stupid.
But I digress.
At the end of the testing, they told us (there were about 20 of us that day) that we'd probably receive a letter in the mail sometime this week letting us know if we'd passed the test, and if so that our names would be put into their "list" for possible interviews when openings came up.
Well, about 20 minutes ago I got a call from Pierce Transit, letting me know I'd passed the test and that they'd like me to come in for an interview. *happy dance*
So, I have an interview on Thursday at 2:00. If I get this job, I'll be making $13.24 an hour, and although it'll be as a part-time relief driver, their version of part-time averages at least 30 hours a week, and even their part-time drivers can hit 50 hours a week easy.
Cross your fingerses, start praying, light candles, chant, rub your rabbits feets, do whatever it is you do to wish someone all the luck you possibly can. I want this job. I need this job. This is something I could make a career out of, and it's probably the best chance I have to make decent money right out of the gate.
