For the first time in months I finally feel alive. I was decorating the house for Christmas yesterday, and noticed that the sun was shining, it was warm, and the road was dry. I shut everything off, grabbed my helmet, and went out to jump on my bike. Bummer of bummers, the battery was too weak to turn the motor over. I got the wife to let me buy a battery charger for it, hooked it up, left it alone for about half an hour, and when I went to start it, it kicked over on the first try. My heart was pounding before I even got on the thing. I took off, not even knowing where I was going, and before I knew it I was about 20 miles away, just enjoying that special feeling of a man on his bike. I can't even describe it. I damn near froze my balls off though as soon as the sun started to go down. I finally got home about 2 hours later, frozen solid, but finally feeling alive. Of course it's raining today, so I can't take the other bike out. I actually planned to take them both out yesterday...until I discovered I was in Federal Way. Heh. Guess I'll just have to wait for another day. God that felt good.
