dr_tranny: (IT'S A TRAP)
That's it. The innernets is over. We can all go home now.

So when I moved, I had to leave my kitty behind. She's an antisocial bitch whose only greater dislike than strange people is strange kitties, and my Dad has 2 cats. A couple days ago, we went to a local nursery to pick up some rose bushes for a family memorial rose garden, and they had this adorable little black kitten in a cage with a sign that said "I need a loving home." Yeah, I turned to mush. My Stepmom also got all gooshy, and told my Dad that I needed a new baby since I had to leave my kitty behind. Ever the marshmallow, he agreed.

Of course, you all know what that means. Pictures!

Only four, but I'll be nice and cut so I don't eat your friends' pages.

Pics ahoy! )

I need help, though. I can't come up with a good name that isn't obnoxiously cliche. Both of my Dad's cats' names start with B, so I'm kinda trying to come up with something that also starts with B, just to keep with the theme, but it's not a requirement. My sister's dog's name is Sidney, so my twisted little brain thought of calling him Billy, as in Sidney Prescott and Billy Loomis from Scream, but that's a little obscure and weird even for me.

Any suggestions? I can't keep calling him "Baby Kitty" forever. Eventually he'll get huge, and it'll sound weird.

Heh, I just realized something. As of roughly 13 hours ago, it's been 2 years since I quit smoking. I polished off my last cigarette right around 6 am on July 5, 2005.

Take it from me, folks. If you're thinking of quitting, it's not easy but it's not impossible either. This is coming from the guy who always pictured himself trying to quit with a second skin of nicotine patches, a box of nicotine gum in his mouth, screaming "I WANT A CIGARETTE!!!!!!!!!" Yeah, it can be done. ;)

And with how much the damn things cost these days, you'll save yourself a metric shit-ton of money. I figure I probably averaged around a pack a day for 13 years, with an average cost of roughly $4.00 a pack. So, $4.00 a day for 730 days is $2920.00. That's roughly half the cost of top surgery with some surgeons. Pretty significant.

Okay, I'm done sounding preachy. I'm really not one of those rabid militant ex-smokers who goes around cock-slapping smokers and such. Really.
