Quick update
Jan. 19th, 2005 08:23 pmJust a quickie update here. Mary's surgery went well. The doctor said everything came out okay, and he didn't find anything unexpected. As planned, he removed her uterus, ovaries, tubes, and cervix. She's in pain, but that's to be expected and they have her drugged up to the eyeballs for it. Barring any unforseen circumstances, she should be discharged sometime Friday afternoon. I'm going to be heading back to the hospital here shortly, and plan on spending the night. I'll probably update again sometime tomorrow or Friday. Keep us all in your thoughts/prayers/etc.

Good luck getting to the end of the road. Just remember to push the pain and quality of life issues. That alone is usually enough to force the bastards into some kind of action.
