Pity me!!!

Yes, that's right, I said pity me. I fractured the knuckles in my left pinkie. And it hurts like a bitch! Not to mention the fact that it makes typing rather like watching hand-to-hand combat between a couple of drunk rhesus monkeys. How did I break my finger, you ask? Would you believe playing catch football with a couple of kids? It's true. The sun got in my eyes at the wrong moment, and the ball hit off the end of my finger, and jammed it in toward my hand. I didn't realize I'd hurt it quite that bad until the next day (Sunday), when I unwrapped it from the splint I'd put it in and noticed all the bruising and swelling around the knuckles. All I have to say is thank God it wasn't my right hand. I'd be fucked. And not in a positive, life-affirming way either. So here I sit, finger throbbing along nicely, taped and splinted up for probably another week, feeling incredibly stupid for having broken it in such a fashion. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! *whimper whine sniffle*

injuries to the hand (particularly the fingers) really suck and it always makes me queezy to hear that someone else hurt their hands.
i'm a musician...but i can't stand not being active...so my worst nightmare just happened for you.

Yes, it does indeed suck. But, it's getting better. It's nowhere near as purple and red as it was. Now it's turning that weird greenish yellow color around the edges. *bleh* Be well bro.
