Well, I've had my 3-month post-op eye check. My eyes are in perfect shape, and I now have 20/15 vision. I've been cleared to resume life as normal, and don't need anything other than the usual recommended annual vision exams.

You remember Junior, yes? Of course. Well, week before last, he came to work on Monday, went home, and decided after 25+ years he wasn't coming back. Cue chaos in the Starlight project. So now Sylvana and Thany are trying to sort that whole mess out, and Joe's been put in charge of Repair.

Just in time for me to leave. This means Joe will not only not have an assistant, he's also gonna be stuck with a rookie on Mantis.

I feel bad for Joe, but I'm laughing uproariously over what that's gonna do to the department's output. XD

Oh, and you'll love this. They moved Julie from WCS to the build line. She's actually having to work, and she's about to spit nails because of it. She spent a good 20 minutes bitching to Olga about it Thursday. XD Guess she's not Sylvana's favorite hemorrhoid any more.

I agree. It was totally worth the money. It actually amazes me that more ppl don't get this done. Every time I see some adult wearing glasses now - I think to myself: if only they knew the freedom they are denying themselves. It was worth it to me (and I paid a huge amount) even just to be able to open my eyes in the morning and actually SEE the alarm clock CLEARLY without having to squint and try to guess at the time. The rest is just icing.
